Here are the projects I have done for myself.
These include some of the little business ventures that
I have tried over the years. |
| |
- PoolShirts (www.poolshirts.com;
no longer accepting orders)
- This site was one of my first personal projects. I was
into billiards not too long ago. Because of my hobby,
I developed an online store selling billiard supplies.
The site worked very well. This was my first full online
store. The site contains over 800 items for sell. I was
processing orders from the U.S. to Australia. Overall,
I could have probably kept the site going but it came down
to me start working regularly in order to pay for college
and those life expenses, so I stop accepting orders but
kept the site up due to pride.
- DjPic Co. (examples.djpic.net/djpicco;
saved as example)
- DjPic Co., this was the name of my company dream in high
school. I built the site in web design class and made all
the graphics from scratch. Of course the site was made
in my younger years, about a year after I started doing
web development. Nothing fancy, just standard HTML and
Javascript at work here.
- Drink and Drive (examples.djpic.net/drinkanddrive; saved
as example)
- This site was my responce to a high school project that
needed to be done. Instead of making a Powerpoint, I built
a web site. The site is supposed to describe the dangers
of drunk driving. The site is real basic.
- Clownalias (examples.djpic.net/clownalias;
saved as example)
- This was the first site I developed. It was made for
my father which was a police clown. I have came a long
from when I made this site. The site includes some old
java based games I found when I just started developing.
I kept it around for centimital value; allows me to look
back from where I came from.

Here are the projects that I have done for some of my clients with
a brief description of the requirements for each project.
|
| |
- Autumn Oaks Farm and Express (autumnoaksfarmandexpress.com;
live)
- Was fully designed from the floor up with the client
in mind. The site was developed after the client specified
what colors and theme they wanted. Both the client and
I have received many complements on this site. Some saying
it is the best site they have ever seen. The site was search engine optimized and recieves an average of 20 unique hits.
- The Sports Investor (site closed)
- This site was fully automated. The client was to post
his football predictions (Picks) for his subscribers. All
the client needed to do is update his football predictions
and collect the subscription fees. The site was fully integrated
into PayPal. The application would calcuate when a
subscribers subscription is expired and then prompt them
to renew. This process was fully automated. The
subscriber would renew his or her subscription and would
then the site would grant them access again. This was a true example of a site that "worked
for you."
- Seminole High School Band: Sanford, Florida (examples.djpic.net/shsband;
saved as example)
- I was a member of the Seminole High School Band and during senior
year, I was awarded the title of Public Relations Officer.
The position gave me the opportunity create and maintain the bands web site. This is
the site I developed for the band and did get rave reviews.
The site was taken down of course once I graduated to make
way to the next Public Relations Officer.
- U.S. Military Veterans Motorcycle Club: West
Volusia
(examples.djpic.net/usmvmc;
saved as example)
- USMVMC site was developed after the Orlando Guardians
site. This site was when I first started to better understand
the design concepts and began to apply them. This was the start
of my professional web developement and was my pride and
joy for a very long time.
- Orlando Guardians (examples.djpic.net/orlandogardians;
saved as example)
- The site was designed for a local ameater football team.
The site was one of my first clients. The site is now down
due to the team moving on but I still keep a copy running
for examples

Here are the projects that I have completed for work with
brief descriptions. They are in no particular order. Most
of the standard sites were designed using a basic template
that I developed in order to make it easy and fast for
development. On average, with the template, I could finish
the site layout and menu functions in a 4 hours. The down
side is the sites that use the template all look basically
the same.

Also posted here are projects that were built
for prototype projects. These projects were made for the
client in order to prove it can be done. This allowed for the customer to bugdet. The projects listed here were not approved for many reasons. All of them were successful prototypes. Because most of these projects were built for
internal use only, I can not post a work prototype of the projects. |

- Florida Hospital Finance Department (Dashboard
application)
- The Hospital's Finance Department wanted an application
in which they could track finance and approve budget changes
for all the departments in the Hospital. With this application
it would give the users a way to enter budget requests
and then allowed the appropriate administration to deny
or approve the request. The charts tracked the department
spending and when an increase took place, the administrators
could add a question to the graph in order to ask
the department head why the spending went above normal.
The technology that was chosen for this application was
Flex 3 (using ActionScript 3), PHP, XML, and MySQL. The application worked really well.
The example the Hospital wanted to use to show what they
wanted was the stock quote charts on Google.
The project was suspend do to budget issues.
